On June 6 and 7 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, trainings on the Horizon 2020 program on Science, Technology and Innovation of the European Commission were delivered.
On the 6th there was a working session with the National Contact Points (NCP), to get to know their tasks within H2020, providing support in the calls, specifically those addressing the CELAC countries. They also had a session on the planning of activities for the current year.
The second day was an open training for researchers and companies that participated in a Horizon 2020 workshop.
This initiative was promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras with the support of the Honduran Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (IHCIETI), and the delegation of the European Commission in the country.
The presentations were delivered by Soc. Mag Claudia Romano, Coordinator of the Latin American and Caribbean National Contact Points Network "LAC NCP Network" and Manager of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Uruguay.
Representatives of different Universities, Research Centers and Business Chambers from all over the country gathered for this training.
This activity was carried out in order to strengthen the institutional capacities of organizations, researchers and companies in international cooperation issues, and financing opportunities. We hope that these Info Days will contribute to increase the participation of Honduran researchers in the Horizon 2020 Program.
