In the framework of the ALCUE NET Project, the Latin American and Caribbean Network of National Contact Points (Red LAC NCP) developed a training and awareness-raising event about the Horizonte 2020 Program (H2020).
This event took place on the 7th and 8th of November in Lima, Peru, with the objective to present a general guide on the H2020 for the Investigation and Innovation of the European Union.
On the 7th the focus laid on the National Contact Points (NCP) while on the 8th there was an informative, open workshop for researchers and representatives of public and private companies.
The initiative was promoted by the National Board of Science, Technology and Innovation Technology (CONCYTEC) with the support of the ALCUE NET Project, led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MINCyT) from Argentina and the support of the International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in Uruguay with the role as coordinator of the LAC NCP Network.
Claudio Romano, coordinator of the LAC NCP Network, and Jesús Rojo, National Contact Point for the Marie S.-Curie actions of the foundation in Madrid, presented the Horizonte 2020 Program.
There was a special emphasis on the topics for the 2018-2020 period whereby the participation of the CELAC-countries is obligatory: Health, Sustainable Urbanization and Transport.
The activity´s objective was to strengthen the institutional capacities of the organizations, researchers and companies regarding the international cooperation, financing opportunities and the process to participate effectively in H2020.
