Within the framework of the ALCUE NET project, on October 25 and 26, several training and dissemination activities were carried out by Mr. JesúsRojo, about the "Opportunities for Financing and Participation in the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)" of the Horizon 2020 Program, it was organized by the Office of Liaison with the European Union in Uruguay 'MEC CUBIST' that works within the Directorate of International Cooperation and Projects of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC).
The opening was in charge of the Minister (i) of Education and Culture, Edith Moraes; the First Counselor, Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the European Commission in Uruguay, TomazGorisek; and Claudia Romano, Manager of International Cooperation and Projects of the MEC and coordinator of the MEC CUBIST office.
Mr. Jesús Rojo, National Contact Point for MSCA of the Madri+d Knowledge Foundation (Spain), was invited to Montevideo with the aim of disseminating the 2018-2020 calls for MSCA, facilitating the participation of researchers, experts and Uruguayan companies in strategic international spaces for the country, technically advise on the presentation of projects, as well as in the search for opportunities and international partners for the creation of project consortiums.
The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions seek to guarantee optimal development and dynamic use of intellectual capital, in order to generate new capabilities and innovation and, thus, realize its potential in all sectors and regions.
On this occasion, the attendees had the opportunity to learn first-hand the main aids and calls available to perform in the different stages of the research career, enabling scientists to gain experience in foreign countries and in the private sector, and to complete their training with skills or disciplines useful for their careers, as well as the formation of consortiums and exchange and knowledge networks between Latin America and the European Union.
